There is a saying: THE SOLDIER DOES NOT DIE, THE SOLDIER GIVES LIFE. They gave their lives on order, for patriotic reasons, because they chased away the invaders from their homeland, and because they had no other choice, and as teenagers they were drawn into the modes of a great war machine and without much training went to the front line of meat character gun.
It is worth remembering and worshiping them not only by taking care of this place physically by organizing the area but also by ensuring their IDENTITY.
The existing old LIST OF POLAND in Polish spelling does not reflect the true sound of their names, let alone incomplete or often distorted data. There are a lot of cases of repeating data of the same people in two different graves (grave no. 2 and 140 itself - three cases). Therefore, it is difficult to determine the exact number of soldiers and nurses buried here (grave No. 1 nurse from Field Evacuation Point No. 40, born in 1920 in GORKI, BIELOWA MARIJA PIETROWNA, died on August 23, 1945 5, from the same point No. 40 born in 1899 in Leningrad, died on 15.07.1945 Aksienowa Ekaterina Andriejewna) or civilian army employees, because they are also like that.
I consciously use the dead who were buried, because a large part of them died in the field hospitals that were established here after the capture of the city, being wounded in fights in the vicinity of Szczecin, Gryfino, Widuchowy or on the bridge around Krajnik Dolny, especially when crossing the Odra River.
So we have buried here both the repeatedly awarded real Heroes of the Soviet Union and people who died as a result of alcohol poisoning (several).
There is also one soldier with the data recorded in the so-called REPORTING: slaughtered to Polish subversives.
There is a crew of three - a railway team, including a woman, died in one of the local field hospitals from poisoning with mushrooms whose bodies were taken and buried in the area at the PKP railway station, and only later exhumed and buried in one grave (grave 86, Fonienko train driver from the Stavropol region, Szkurin senior train driver and born in 1918 of the Diepropetrovsk region Odiniec MARIJA Jefimowna, wagon train. They served in the 23rd War and Exploration Department, died August 15, 1945). There are also several gentlemen officers from the NKVD, I also noticed one gentleman from the Trofiej Brigade.
However, the most interesting so far is the birthday in 1914, in Saragossa a major of the Spanish army fighting in the civil war, who forced to leave Spain emigrated to the USSR and there he joined the Red Army. He fought as a platoon commander in the 233rd Engineering and Sapper Battalion, 38th Engineering and Sapper Brigade, 61st Army, 1st Belarussian Front. He was awarded the ORDER OF THE FATHER'S WAR I degree for rollers on February 10, 1945 on Arnswalde. Killed in battle February 21, 1945.
We are talking about buried in grave 42 among other exhumed from Wardynia, Radunia and Chelpa, junior lieutenant ESCUDERO SERRANO ENRIQUE, who on the monument appears as ESKUDER SERWANO EKURIKE.
Of course I drank here. I often visit recently because the post-Soviet atmosphere reminds me of Oksana.
Well-kept cemetery of fallen soldiers, I recommend visiting and remembering those who died.
The deceased deserves respect and it is very good that it was renewed, many young people were buried there. And war is evil :-(
Clean and tidy! Thanks to the Poles!
