It is quite small park located near main entrance gate in Chelmno. However quite charming and well maintained.
The well-spruced little park of memory and tolerance is named after the Polish-German surgeon Ludwik Rydygier. Born near Prussian Graudenz (Grudziądz), he went to school and ran a private clinic in Kulm (Chełmno), later moving to Kraków and Lwów. He was a world-class surgeon and pioneer of many new techniques in gastric, rectal, orthopedic, plastic, urological and cardiothoracic surgery.
The park is small but with potential. You can see that the city is trying to beautify the park with mini steps every year and if there is no shortage of initiative and willingness, it can be a really great nice place for residents and tourists.
