The market in Starosądecki charms with the atmosphere of a former Galician town. While in Stary Sącz, I recommend visiting the most famous house at the market square, the so-called House on the Dołkach, currently the seat of the Regional Museum. The name comes from the "hole", that is the city jail, which used to be located in its basement. The house of priest Leopold Kmietowicz, one of the leaders of the Chochołów Uprising, is located in the southern part of the square. Father Józef Tischner was born in one of the houses at the market square, and the Szncer family, from which the famous singer Ada Sari, lived in another.

It is a wonderful place, especially Mrs. Krysia's ice cream shop. A place that is very real and not converted. I highly recommend to all who want to rest 😉

Starosądecki Square is one of the most charming square in a medieval town.

Beautiful market, lots of space. You can feel the atmosphere, if not for cars, it was like 150 years ago.
