The beautiful, almost half-original park is an oasis of peace and a great place to observe insects and birds.
It's good that it works as a school so it wasn't sentenced to destruction
A well-kept palace, however, it lacks a real owner
Trzebiechów (German: Trebschen) is located southeast of Sulechów, by the local road from Sulechów to Bojadeł. The palace is located in the center of the village, on the north-east side of the road, separated from it by a spacious courtyard. A vast landscape park extends behind the palace.
The knights' estates in Trzebiechów belonged to the Troschke family from the 15th century to 1724. Thanks to their efforts, a manor was built here in the place of today's palace in the 16th or 17th century. In 1724 the estate was auctioned off and became the property of Henryk Reuss-Schleiz and from that time until World War II, the place belonged to the von Reuss family, derived from the Plauen line.
Some construction works at the Renaissance court were carried out in the first half of the 19th century. Their range was probably modest, because heirs lived then outside Trzebiechów. In the seventies another Henry Reuss settled here (the name was reproduced in the family) and in 1876 he began work related to the transformation of the manor into a residence. The side wing was added in 1902, thanks to the efforts of another member of the family.
The current Trzebiechowski palace and park complex was created in the current of French residential architecture of the 18th century. It has not only architecture characteristic for this type of assumptions, but also the entire layout with the palace in the center and the garden, square and courtyard arranged on its axes. The shape of the facade should also be seen in the provenance of French Baroque residential architecture.
The palace is founded on the plan of the letter "L", with four-sided towers at the northern side and in the southern wing. The divided body consists of four different segments differentiated in form and size. The vertical accents are created by the silhouettes of the towers and the covering of the batch of pseudorisalits raised above the ridge. The facility is fully basement, two-storey in both wings, covered with mansard roofs, tent towers. The thirteen-axis facades of the main part were dismantled - protruding from the face - higher apparent projections and rusticated pilasters, and horizontally - the part of the pedestal and profiled cornices - cordon and crowning. The windows are arranged in a symmetrical arrangement, rectangular, with the exception of projections, where there are also closed semicircular (first floor), they have key frames and lintels in the form of a section of a profiled cornice. The main entrance in the three-axis part of the façade breakthrough and the windows flanking them received a visual setting in the form of pilasters. In the first floor, above the entrance, there is a balcony and three porte-fenêtre windows, enclosed by pilasters. The third floor entering the roof part is topped with a picturesque exhibit, raised to the level of the helmet covering of the break projections. The garden façade is shaped similarly, except for the upper part, where there is one large window.
The palace and park complex in Trzebiechów, which includes: a palace in the style of French residences (school headquarters), an English-style court park, located around the palace, as well as a historic outbuilding from the beginning of the 19th century - the seat of the Commune Office and the former riding school - currently the hall sports - they are the property of the Trzebiechów Commune Office.
