The place is approx. 3km from Leba - crowded tourist town, near the lake. It gives you calm and quiet stay without noise and crowd. There is no WiFi in the rooms. It is mentioned during reservation, however when you add lack of cellular network in the area, you get practically no internet in the place. Room price too high comparing to the offer.

My expectations for Zamek Nowecin were high; they were nonetheless exceeded. It is a Neo-Gothic castle on an intimate scale, decorated with a goodly collection of period pieces, balanced with an practical approach (read: all chairs and sofas I sampled were comfortable). Comforts included the strong water pressure in the shower, the bed, the generous windows, and a cycle for my use, which dramatically enhanced my visit. A range of life-guarded to deserted beaches are within a flat journey, as well as a satisfying quantity of forest and wetland. Several restaurants and shops are within a short walk of the hotel, not to mention a handsome riding school. I found it possible to enjoy both high quality alone and social time at Zamek Nowecin and its neighbourhood, a rare treat so near the sea. I was treated with the warmth and care the building and its grounds receive. It was difficult for me to elect not to be within hearing distance of the sea, and I am very glad I did.

The castle was erected at the turn of the 15th and 16th centuries by Kalus Wejher. It had two side wings, it was surrounded by a rampart and a moat. Subsequent mentions of the castle appear only in 1909, when it was rebuilt and transformed into a palace. After World War II, it was taken over by the PGR. A recreational and training center operated there since the 1980s. Currently it houses a hotel and a restaurant.

I will only say about the restaurant: FANTASTIC !!! boletus soup and tenderloin with boletus ... Delicious! we were a group of 8 + 6 children: we tried everything from fish to dumplings, we were all delighted. The only drawback is your owner (?) Stressed three times that you will have to wait a long time ... If we were not so hungry, we would probably get discouraged, some may give "+" for honesty ...
