Łobżenica is a small town located on Łobżonka River, but its origins go back to pagan times. The first historical reference about Łobżenica dates back to 1398. It received city rights before 1438, it was a private city. In 1606, the Scottish merchants settled in Łobżenica, who created the so-called New Town, then called Little Gdańsk. The remnant of those times is the architectural buildings along with the market (currently, Zwycięstwa Square).
