A nice attraction in Wągrowiec

Durowskie Lake is a picturesque water reservoir. Partially adjacent to the city of Wągrowiec. The rest of its shoreline is surrounded by wooded areas. A friendly cycling and walking path runs around the reservoir. From 2019, the lake boasts clean water, with transparency reaching 6 m depth. The change in water purity for the better occurred rapidly. One can only hope that it will stay because it undoubtedly became an advantage of the lake. The area of ​​charm is also added by the sailing yachts, kayaks and pedalos that often appear here. In the part of the city's waterfront you will find restaurants, water equipment rentals, 2 sailing clubs. Recently, scuba divers have also appeared here more often. The waterfront has, unfortunately, poor bathing conditions due to a strong bottom drop. For this reason, only people who are good at water can swim here. It is true that there is a city beach here, but the shallow swimming pool adjacent to it is separated from the open water by a bridge under which a hideous grille runs. So, this place does not look very attractive as a bathing beach. The lake in the summer is dominated by troublesome motorboats, which are complained by anglers, strollers, nearby residents, canoeists and users of pedal boats. Scooter users are particularly troublesome showing off in front of people relaxing on the beach. Weekend rest on the beach will probably be associated with listening to the roar of scooter engines and inhaling exhaust fumes. It should also be noted that local security services bypass this place. Were it not for the local initiative of residents, canoeists, sailors, divers and canoeists, then there would be piles of rubbish on the lake and in the lake. Despite the described disadvantages (due to the beautiful location and clean water so far) I rate the water area and the waterfront highly.
