The monument was created in honor of the Polish soldiers who died in the Battle of Monte Cassino. The monument has the shape of an eagle with hussar wings, it is a copy of the sculpture (by Professor Duilio Cambelotti) standing at the entrance to the cemetery at Monte Cassino. The monument was unveiled in 2015, on the 71st anniversary of the Battle of Monte Cassino, it was placed on the square at ul. Heroes of Monte Cassino. It bears the inscription: To the soldiers of the 2nd Polish Corps of Major General Władysław Anders on the 70th anniversary of the Battle of Monte Cassino. The monument was built on a social initiative. The author of the monument is Witold Marcewicz. Commemorating the event of the Battle, where many Polish soldiers died in heavy fights was absolutely necessary, but I believe that the sculptor followed the least resistance line, that he dug the original eagle

The monument received a good setting. It was erected on a slight increase, and it leads to a short alley occupied by low krzewami.Pomnik is dedicated to the soldiers of the Polish II Corps. Its unveiling took place in 2015. The eagle with Hussar wings is a copy of that standing at the entrance to the cemetery of Polish soldiers killed in the Battle of Monte Cassino. The monument was created on a social initiative.
