Very nice developed place. You can spend a nice afternoon because you can feel a little cold here. Cool place for a walk

Charming, atmospheric, you can move into the past, because the imagination works 🤔😊

Nice walk along the city walls, very friendly in the gorge behind the walls. You can relax in the shackles of nature.

The first fortifications of this originally Prussian stronghold began to arise in 1308. Defensive walls surrounding the entire Lidzbark Warmiński were erected until the second half of the 14th century, 1357 was given for the year of completion. The eastern and northern parts of the city were surrounded, and the walls were very massive here. From the south and west, the Łyna River became a natural protection, so much weaker fortifications were built, rather of a protective nature. The huge walls that were built along today's Hoża, Kasprowicza, Reja and Kajki Streets, were additionally provided with gates and towers, and a wide dry moat was created in front of their facade from the north. Over the years, the entire fortifications have been rebuilt many times and extended mainly to the west, houses mostly intended for the local poor have been added to the wall. The more important northern part of the fortifications had to be a huge structure, which is evidenced by the fact that it repeatedly repelled the sieges and it is these fragments that have survived to this day. Currently, this small part has been revitalized and made available to the public. However, it is such a valuable souvenir of the urban layout of the former Lidzbark that not only the walls but also the entire area around them is protected by law.
