Medieval Piast Castle on the top of a volcano? Yes it is possible! This is Rogowiec Castle. Historical details on the board, the place itself is interesting, both because of historical and natural, for example rock landslides, which give this place a high-mountain character (although in the forest). There are many interesting places on the nearby slopes: wilderness, crumbling rocky crags, small waterfalls. And potentially beautiful views even though I was in a light fog so I couldn't appreciate it. Brilliant places on MTB, I'm waiting for spring!

The ruins of a medieval castle in an extremely picturesque location with views, especially of the Wałbrzych Mountains, tell you STOP! Stop and don't rush through life like that ... Take a breath and admire. Especially the autumn landscape is impressive. By the way, how could such a high and steep castle be conquered? A ruin since the 15th century and a destination for romantic walks since the 19th century. Today it is not difficult to get here, although it will be quite steep on the way.
