The current Evangelical cemetery was founded in 1875. It is the second and only Evangelical-Augsburg necropolis in Wieluń. The first, non-existent burial place was where the building of the District Court stands today. It was closed in connection with the outbreak of cholera epidemic, which took place in 1873. The Evangelical-Augsburg necropolis in Wieluń founded in the second half of Nineteenth century is the burial place of well-known residents of the city. There are antique gravestones on it. A cemetery is located at POW in Wieluń street, where gravestones of Wieluń inhabitants of the Evangelical-Augsburg confession are located. One of the most outstanding figures resting on the cemetery is Henryk Wendt - Polish pastor and patriot who deserved a steadfast attitude during the Second World War for the city's history.
