Perfect good food service and nice atmosphere
Though I have yet to stay overnight, I have visited for libations of choice when in the area. The courtyard is exceptionally inviting on a sunny summer day and equally enchanting come fall-time (especially in the evening when the fog rolls in). The staff are all delightful, and the care that the owner(s) has/have is clear throughout. This is a great little place, a hop, skip-and a jump from the old town square of Wschowa / Fraustadt, which is always worth a visit. The traditional Polish Meade is particularly unforgettable and a definite crowd-pleaser come colder days (served with a slice of lemon).
I almost never give 1-star reviews but this place deserves it. I made a booking via a very popular hotel website and got my confirmation. I then drove here 80km and the hotel was locked and dark. I called the number on the door, the lady said they are closed and they don't care if their rooms appear to be available online. Be very careful with this place!
Great place. This castle was where the Kings stayed and history can be felt in every corner.
The rooms themselves are very comfortable, large, with an additional sofa and armchair. Old but well-kept bathroom. Good food in the hotel, well-equipped bar, friendly service.
If you accost the owner, he will take you on a wonderful storytelling journey about the history of Wschowa, a visit to the castle of the kings of the "Saxons", about how Wschowa was the second "unofficial" capital of Poland, he will show you where the underground ran The king's entourage was sleeping in the buildings, he will tell about the oldest known cemetery located here and the tombstones on which people's lives and a message for posterity are written.
One downside - it was cold in my room and there was no farelka available at the hotel (end of September).
I recommend it from the heart.
The day before the planned stay at the hotel, I received a call from the Lord at the reception of whom I had booked the room the previous day that he had not noted my reservation and there was no room for me. In a word, no professionalism and embarrassment. I will definitely never take advantage of this questionable quality of hotel services again.
