Nature Reserve - where, as can be seen from the information board, you can not do anything. The reserve does not bother, however, that during the whole weekend on the shooting range they burst like crazy ...
Krzysztof Kalinowski (04/03/2018)
The main goal of the protection of this reserve is the northernmost site of the xerothermic grass of Stipa joannis. It grows in clumps up to 0.6 - 0.7 m in height. It is an extremely thermally and heliophilic plant. There is also a thermophilic feathered grass (Brachypodium pinnatum) that forms grasslands. The reserve protection area covers the slope of the ravine of the former Cypele stream, which used to be the left tributary of the Miłosna stream. It is now a dry gorge. The existence of thermophilic vegetation in this place is related to a specific microclimate. The reserve was established by order of the Minister of Forestry and Wood Industry of December 29, 1966. Regulation of the Pomeranian Voivode No. 1/2005 of On January 12, 2005, it was expanded from 0.20 ha to 2.56 ha. It was a decision expected by naturalists, due to the difficulties in maintaining the main purpose of protection in the current, small area. The main threat to thermophilic grasses is the development of fever communities with sand reed (Calamagrostis epigeios), male cashew (Dryopteris filix-mas) and raspberry (Rubus idaeus). In addition, tree species are also sown. It is the effect of the natural succession towards the oak-hornbeam forest.
