I give five stars for the very existence of this facility. Nice atmosphere and mostly helpful librarians do not match the offer available to readers. I mean the book collection that is offered in a public room. The bulk of this collection is, excuse me for the phrase, toilet paper. Crime novels, romance novels, man-made books and fantasy books of dubious quality offend the tastes of sophisticated readers, and yet such exist in our city. Whenever you wanted to borrow a valuable item, you either had to come prepared, having previously reviewed the catalog, or asked for help on the spot. I have resigned from borrowing money many times because I did not have the patience to explain what I care about. It is good that someone finally made the decision to change. Giving access to the entire book collection of a public library is a brilliant move. I also hope that the purchases of new items will be more thoughtful and there will be more high-flying literature.
