In 1971, the well was moved in front of the Raczyński Library. In 2004, construction of an underground car park began and the monument was placed in a warehouse, from which it returned to the square in autumn 2009. The monument was previously renovated. Among other things, the flow of water from the lion's head was restored. On the western wall of the pedestal there is an inscription:
In 1841, Edward Raczyński gave the town a new water supply, supplying spring water from the Winiarskie Hill, and built this well at the junction of ul. February 23 from Al. Marcinkowski, dedicating it to Wincent Priessnitz / 1799-1851 / the creator of hydrotherapy. The statue of Hygieia - the goddess of health, bearing the features of the founder's wife, Konstancja Raczyńska, was placed in 1908, when the well was moved to Al. Marcinkowski at the exit of ul. Young Fighting. The well was placed in its present place in 1971
