Miłosław is a town in the Greater Poland Voivodeship, 15 km south-west of Września on the national road No. 15. It has about 4,000 inhabitants.
The first mention of Miłosław comes from 1314, when the town was owned by the Miłosławski family. City rights were granted before 1397, again in 1539. During the Reformation, a strong Protestant center, until 1627. During the Spring of Nations, the site of the victorious battle of the insurgents with the Prussian army (April 30, 1848). In the first decade of the 20th century, the center for school strikes.
In the city center there is a rectangular square (Wiosny Ludów Square). It is arranged as a square with lots of greenery, in the middle of which there is a stone - a monument to the children of Miłosław fighting for the Polish language in 1901–07. In the north-west in the corner of the market square is the historic building of the "Bazaar" (No. 24), for which heavy fighting took place in 1848.
The Spring of Nations Square in Miłosław is planned to be revitalized so that it becomes the city's showpiece.
