The chapel of the von Kalksten family in Chełmża is one of two historic chapels, next to the Black Zawiszów Chapel, located in the "old" cemetery in Chełmża. The chapel is neoclassical and dates to the mid-nineteenth century. It once belonged to the family of von Kalksten, who lived in nearby Kończewice. Currently, the chapel is a mausoleum, on its walls there are memorial plaques (interestingly, the chapel has an octagonal or octagonal shape). One of the plaques is dedicated to the heroic priest - Stefan Wincenty Frelichowski, raised on the altar by St. John Paul II, who, while helping prisoners, died of typhus in the Dachau camp. Few people probably know that Frelichowski is the patron of Polish scouts. The Day of the Dead is a "good opportunity" to see what the von Kalksten chapel looks like inside.
