Very valuable first opinion of a local guide. Cmenatrz is marked on maps, but there is no organized access in the area. After reading the above opinion, I decided to find the traces of the cemetery - I broke partly through the meadow, partly through the field, and without conviction I entered the trees that were quite densely growing on the hill. There are indeed fragments of the Jewish cemetery there. I stopped for a moment, thanking them for those who once lived here. It would be good for this place to look different. But it wasn't cluttered - also maybe someone took care of it.

The Jewish cemetery in Krasnobród is located in the southern part of the town, at ul. Kościuszki, opposite premises no. 67-73. The cemetery occupies an irregularly shaped plot, located on a hill. The object has been subject to far-reaching devastation. To this day, within it you can find individual fragments of broken matzevot, concrete tombs and matzevot brickwork. The area is overgrown with forest and partially littered. According to Marta Kubiszyn in the book Śladami Żydów. Lublin region, another Jewish cemetery functioned in Krasnobrod, located in the confluence of the current Sanatoryjna and Kościuszki Streets. The cemetery was probably open from the 16th to the 17th century. There is no information about its state of preservation.
