Simple in form, but multi-stream. Thanks to this, the fountain looks different every now and then. In the evenings, the fountain in the Market Square in Olkusz is beautifully illuminated, which definitely adds to its charm. The contemporary fountain was put into use in 2013 and differs significantly from the water fountain, which was the ornament of the market square from the beginning of the 20th century to the 70's. The old fountain, rebuilt several times, had a classic look - a round tank with one nozzle. The current model has two basins equipped with nozzles, from which water spouts at different heights - the highest at about 1.6 meters. A total of 42 water jets were installed in the fountains, 21 for each of them. Nine extreme nozzles in the "L" pattern spout at a variable height, while the other water jets have a fixed, unchanging height. It allows you to configure different themes. Each of the two fountains is 72 square meters in size and contains a total of 15 cubic meters of water. The technical room for the operation of the fountain is located next to it, in some of the rooms after the former toilets.

A very nice square, concrete, but charming. The benches in the shade of plants are a great solution for hot days, especially next to the fountain. Around the bars and restaurants where you can sit down to watch the traffic. Minus for baskets, quite far apart. A big plus for a beautiful fountain and (to the extent) kept order :)

Very nice addition on the Market. The fountain is illuminated at night, so it adds a very nice atmosphere. Children will definitely be interested in a "non-standard" fountain. Next to them are benches, so you can sit back and look at the transparent water that shimmers in the sun. It is also a good background for photo sessions.

The attraction of the Market Square in Olkusz. Illuminated at night. Fun for children, they fly, their legs are silent. Birds pass the water. Around the bench you can sit and relax with the calming sound of the water. Like by the sea or mountain stream. Around numerous restaurants, cafes, ice cream parlors. Something for everyone. I would recommend.
