Wonderful place..Nice people and good food
Most pathetic hotel experience I ever hadđ.
Rooms were not clean, dust every where, towels not clean, stinking smell in the corridor, balcony doors doesnât close properly and horrible breakfast.
The most funny part was that upon checking out they asked me to pay 4 zloty because I borrowed the taxi number from them. It was me who called and arranged for taxi but ended up paying this amount. If you are looking for a stress free vacation please donât opt this hotel, I finally moved to another hotel near by.
Hotel Geovita - our worst polish experience
Avoid this hotel! This hotel has issues on so many levels, it is even hard to decide where to start. First of all, the hotel is quite old and it probably wasn't much money invested on renovations in years. But that was clear and visible on the pictures when I booked the hotel, and personally I don't mind the furniture being old, as far as it's clean.
The cleaning issue - we were at this hotel for four days, and in those four days, the room wasn't cleaned, towels weren't changed and trash wasn't carried out. We put the "please, clean the room" note on our door every day. Still, the room wasn't cleaned. We asked on the reception on our third day evening for some towels, toalet paper (beachuse we didn't have any in our room), and asked why the room isn't cleaned. The lady was obviously irritated and said nothing, just slammed with one roll of the toilet paper on the desk with no words and gave us one black garbage plastic bag (probably to collect our garbage). When I asked if we can get fresh towels, beacuse we hadn't any, she just said "tomorrow". She didn't even get concerned or say sorry. On our last day we went to the reception again and asked for the towels, and the other receptionist just said "no". When we asked if it is possible to get them before we leave so we can shower. She said they will be in the room in an hour. Until we left the room, noone gave us the fresh towels.
The reception problems - most of the people on the reception speak either no English or very basic english. So if you have any problem or any question, most probably they won't be able to help you. Also, very rude behaviour from all the receptionists, with huge lack of basic etiquette. Might be the worst customers service I've ever seen, and I travel a lot. Also when I was paying, I had to check online how much was already paid. While I was waiting, the receptionist was taking deep breaths, rolling eyes and trying to hurry me up. I am still in shock.
Also on the reception, we were told that we have to leave the hotel at 11 pm. Later I saw on the web, that the check out is until 12 pm.
Also, the towels and sheets very smelly and dirty. Sheets partially ripped of.
Breakfast was ok. And the only good thing about this hotel was the view to the forrest and the mountains, also a very nice balcony.
So basically, I already traveled and stayed in bad hotels and hostels, but in those cases, the price was also very low. This hotel was 60 euros per night, which is for Poland quite a lot, and also the most expensive hotel I've stayed in Poland. So, for the price of 60 euros a night, I do expect at least fresh towels, garbage taken out of the room and the poeple on the reception to speak a bit of english.
In total, I would never recommend this place. For much less money, you can get a better accomodation in Zakopane, where the stuff will maybe treat you as a guest and work professionally
Very bad experience, dirty rooms and towels, stinky corridors.
Not recommend.
Nice hotel, although it's a refreshed PRL. But it's clean and nice. The hotel is situated in the upper part of Zakopane, the rooms are clean, each room has a balcony with nice views. I had a room on the ground floor and the view was blocked by trees a bit, but it is still something to look at. We had a DELICIOUS dinner and very friendly service. Tomato soup like home-made, rice and devolay with garlic butter yummy. And for dessert, cheesecake. I recommend.
