Avalanche Algarve Rent a bike

Finding a decent road bike to hire is harder than you think in the Algarve. Avalanche however supplied a Focus Izalco Race kitted with Ultrega. They even set it up to my bike fit measurements and delivered/collected it from the hotel. Leaving me with a track pump was good too. Bike was faultless over 10 days of riding and was in perfect condition. Highly recommended.

It is always a worry when you book a hire bike for training over a number of days. Rui could not have been more helpful to me. He arrived on time and popped on my powermeter crank, explained how to remove the wheels using the QR skewer system. The Focus Izalco was in perfect nick and really well maintained. I was also provided with a track pump for the 4 day hire. Thanks so much. You guys provide an excellent service.

Rui & Jose repaired my bike. It was a bit more complicated than I had realised but they fixed it perfectly. And Rui dropped my bike back to me as he was going past. Excellent service, nice people, English spoken. Muito obrigado!

This is the place to go if you want to hire a bike! Price/value very good. The owner is very friendly and told me about the best routes to ride in the Algarve (and they were indeed beautiful). I hired a carbon race bike for six days and had no problems with it. It came with an pump, multitool and inner tube included. Unfortunately, they can’t control the weather 😀.
