Fluent English speaking pharmacist. Helped identify the product I had left at home. Replaced with no hesitation and prices very reasonable.

When I entered the shop, there were only 2 customers, assisted by 2 staff. It took a while, and when it was my turn there were 6 persons behind me waiting. However, the lady pharmacist refused to serve me, since I had not taken a number at the entrance (which I had not seen). Nobody was disputing it was my turn, but she insisted she could not attend to me. She also refused to serve the person next in line, who also did not know this. She then went on to the third, Portuguese, client, while complaining about stupid tourists.

Incredibly helpful, we suffered an injury while on holiday and they not only sorted out the drugs prescribed but also ordered in crutches, gave us advice on where we could go to get any paper work we needed to fly home early and also spoke to the hospital in Faro to speed things up for us. Everyone we spoke to there was lovely and made a difficult time for us a lot easier.

This pharmacy will lie to you and sell you products that do not meet your expressly stated requirements. Then when discovered lying about the active ingrenient of the product they sold you they will lie to you again to cover up. Unprofessional and unacceptable. Avoid this pharmacy at all costs. Details follow. I went in today and spoke to a pharmacist - I asked for eyedrops containing an antihistamine - I was offered an eyedrop product that met my requirements. When I got home I read the instructions that came with the eyedrops and was stunned to find they contained little more than salt water and sorbitol (an artificial sweetener). No anti histamine or any equivalent ingredient was incorporated. I had been lied to or at least taken for an idiot and conned by a pharmacist in whom I had foolishly placed my trust. I phoned the pharmacy to politely complain and was told by one of the pharmacists that sorbitol in combination with the other ingredients in the drops I was sold (they effectively contain little more than salt water) acts as an antihistamine. I didn't believe this and checked with a professional pharmacist friend who confirmed this is an outright lie intended to cover up a previous lie. This is totally unacceptable. We are entitled to expect professionalism and honnesty from our pharmacists and in most cases this is what we get. I will never shop at Farmacia Ribeiro Lopes again. I strongly suggest you avoid this pharmacy as well.
