Not bad, but my expectations were very low. I was dreading this visit: I had to pay a motorway toll and couldn't work out how to do it online. Even the woman behind the reception desk in the hotel warned me it would take ages, but once I realised you have to take a ticket to be served (nice if someone had pointed this out) it was only a ten minute wait. Don't expect service with a smile if you're a tourist (she even went through the slightly comical drill of calling out my ticket number despite being the only customer), but they seem fairly efficient.

Já enviei imensas encomendas e não tenho qualquer razão de queixa. Atendimento rápido.

Too bad that the postoffice in Lagos is so uncooperative. Apparently it does not need the post office? The postcards sold without marks is common practice. However, Portugal is the first country where stamps can only be bought at the post office! The one number is drawn ... so be it! If, as a tourist, I do not know which department - because: I need stamps internationally, it would have been very kind the gentleman would have simply taken my money, given me a few stamps and everything would be fine. Instead, he went to the brand machine and pulled me a new number. Meanwhile, the post office was very crowded! Which means I should have waited at least an hour. Well: I'm not an impatient person, but something friendlier and more accommodating would definitely have been possible! Pity! Addendum: my postcards were actually delivered in Germany! So it works without having to pull numbers ... 😉 Thanks!
