A small chapel. An enjoyable experience. 🙏

Very welcoming and the service was in English. A beautiful historical sight.

I am not a Catholic but felt really welcome in this small church. My wife and I went to the English speaking mass at 10 o'clock on Sunday morning and I came away with a really peaceful feeling. I might also ad that they appear to be concerned about and help the poor in Madeira. A joyous place!

I didn't go in this year, but in the past I have attended the Catholic Mass in English, which takes place at 10am every Sunday. The chapel is always full, usually with people standing outside. Everyone is genuinely welcome and the Priest gives a special blessing to non-catholics. Drinks are served after the service.
