The front desk lady doesn’t speak good English, she spent 30 minutes to check us in. We needed to stare at the computer monitor to find our reservation. The room The room is so small, we booked it as a 3 people room but they squeezed in a third bed in a double room leaving the passage way to the toilet only 30cm (see pic). The wardrobe door can’t fully open and I hit my foot on it trying to get to the other side of the bed. It’s definitely not safe for kids. WiFi didn’t work. The worst part was: I got confronted aggressively by the manager the next morning because of this review. Saying I shouldn’t come here if I don’t speak any Portuguese, it’s not all about me, and if I wanted a bigger room I should pay more. But the website we made the booking says it’s a triple room instead of a tight family that we barely have the space to open suitcases. It was clean and breakfast was nice, water pressure was good. But overall, leaving with the manager almost starting arguing with me, and wish me a good trip in a sarcastic tone is not very nice.

I have stayed at the Charming House twice - a couple of weeks all in all - and this hotel is quite simply a gem. Super location, extremely friendly and helpful staff, great breakfast, clean rooms, budget friendly - whoa! I do like Figueira and when I come back, I know where I'll stay. I can even put up with the plastic chairs and the absence of a safety deposit box in the room :)

Very nice rooms for the price. Decent breakfast. Very good location, close to the casino, many restaurants but also not too far from the beach.
