Son of a Beach Hostel

Clean! They clean every day. Staff is nice and friendly. Outside area is great. Kitchen so you could cook your own meal. Follow the COVID rules!! The rooms have A.C. Downside there’s no freezer and when it’s really busy you have to wait for a shower. Good and nice place to stay!

Nice hostel in the city center of Faro. Well located, clean and rooms equipped with air conditioner.

I stayed here for a few days and it was great!! It was kind of hidden, but I found it and the people were so lovely and greeted me and showed me my room and explained everything. I met some lovely people out here who were also traveling from far and wide. Thankfully they let me borrow the washing machine to wash my clothes and dry them on the clothes rack which was super helpful given that I’ve been traveling for awhile and had no idea where else to get this done. It’s walking distance to the beach, bus station, groceries, and restaurants so it’s so conveniently located. There’s a kitchen to cook the food you buy. The beds were quite comfy, and thank goodness for AC as the weather was quite warm when I was there in early April.

Cozy place with excellent location in Albufeira Centro!

Um, I kind of have mixed feelings about this place. Although the customer service the location, overall cleanliness was good - I still ended up with bed bugs. I spent three nights here in early July, and after the second night, I noticed I had bed bug bites all over my body. When I brought this to the attention of the staff, he easily dismissed it and said "we never have that problem here." He offered to change the sheets, but did not fix the issue immediately. This made me feel invalidated and kind of ruined my opinion of the place. I know that's quite a substantial claim to make but at least be open to what a customer is saying. I would still recommend staying here, but make sure your bed is clean beforehand.
