I tried to remember this place, but I really can't. I really struggled to remember. Being a pilgrim I went to so many places, as I can remember only the good ones and the special ones. This was not one of them. Sorry.

Cheap budget hotel but okay for walking the camino

This place has got all you need when you are walking the Camino. One of few places that offers breakfast and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Wi-fi worked very consistently too.

One of the worst hotels we have ever stayed in. We were walking the Camino Portuguese with a tour company and our bags were delivered there. It was a rainy day and rather cold. The rooms had no heat and the owner initially refused to turn it on. The rooms are small and the circuit breakers kept closing because they gave us space heaters. The staff initially tried to be of service and then they told us that "Americans" can't live without heat in the winter. I don't need high luxury but this place was ridiculous. Our friend in another room never had any heat.

We stayed at Zende to get a good night’s sleep and a break from albergues while on the Camino. We paid 40€ in person at the hotel - the same price as on booking.com, so there was no pilgrim discount. For this price, we received a room with damp towels, an old and sagging mattress and lumpy pillows. We took this room on a recommendation by a friend of the owner - if only we had checked the reviews online!
