I must admit, my surprise and apprehension at the clash of this trendy eatery with the medieval ambiance that envelopes the rest of Óbidos. All of that disappeared as the first bite of the shrimp laden first plate melted in my mouth. It evaporated my taste buds absorbed the savory potatoes and pork, and was all but forgotten as I cut into the roast and croquette. A fantastic meal punctuated with chocolate bark and some vanilla pudding/pastry. Combined with the welcoming staff and fun ambiance you’ll want to stop in for meal if you’re in Òbidos, you’ll want to stop by.

Wonderful experience tonight at Ponthina. In short : great food, great staff. The restaurant offers a single 6 course menu for 30€ (but you can order each one separately). We shared a menu with my wife. I'm sure you can do the full menu on your own but get ready! Every dish is delicate and beautiful. Our waitress was extraordinary nice and the chef came to say hi at the end of the night. You can go with your eyes closed.

This place is AMAZING. If you are in 50 km radius from Obidos it's an absolute must. The food is exquisite (but not weird, like these fancy places in Paris or NY might be). I'd say local kitchen with a modern twist? It's obvious so much though went into it, every dish is an experience. Kind of a tasting menu, but you can also order the dishes separately. Excellent value for the price.

What a find in Obidos! All the dishes were delicious and it is very well priced for a six-course menu! The place is pleasant and the staff is just nice and happy to help. Very good wine selection.
