Petrarum Domus Restaurante

Not bad but servis and taste could be better in this price level. Dishes look very tasty. (pasta with shrimps- shrimps with black guts, codfish almost without salt or any spices but looks very nice- colorfull veggies, octopus cooked ok but also without good spices) Maybe this is for every tourist but I thought I'm in kindergarden because of faint/bland taste. Menu 'online' with qr-code but restaurant without Wi-Fi (for older or tourist it could be problem).

Good points: 1)Good food. 2)Very nice quantity. We can even say they are really huge size ^^ 3)Nice decorations. Strange points: 1)The plates of the starters were not taken away after we've finished it. Even after the main dishes were served, the empty plates of the starters were left on the table all the time till the end of our meal. 2)The waiters are not that busy as it's the period of Covid but still, they cannot see us. We spent a lot of time waiting before being asked for dessert. 3)Pay attention to your bill⚠️ We never have the habit to check our bill in France, but as we only ordered a cheese board, breads, water and our main courses, we see immediately there are several little charges were added to our bill (a sum of 7€ were added to our bill⁉️). They cut this part away when we pointed it out. So it's ok but pay attention to check your bills.

Unfortunately a very bad restaurant, sort of a tourist trap. No friendly service, no explanation about the menu you need to scan with an app in order to see the menu. We both ordered a pasta which was very bad. Pasta with shrimps but all overcooked and almost no sauce. When we told the waiter we didn't like it he only offered my partner to change the dish. I would not recommend this place at all, and don't understand why it has such a high rating.

Everything was good except for the salmon wasn't fresh, it was put in a freezer and then served to the costumer. In my opinion a restaurant like this isn't supposed to serve freezed fish and ask the prices they ask.

A fan. Great service. I always find it interesting when someone says they don’t really speak English, although their grammar knowledge is better than most Americans’ grammar skills. But maybe that’s more of an issue with Americans... Good food. Had the cod with cream (and potatoes and cheese, broiled) and the filet with peppers (peppercorns, not bell!, cooked like prime rib in the US). Both were delicious and filling. Large portions, reasonable prices (for a touristy place). The local wine was also really nice. We probably should have turned down the bread and cheese they brought at the beginning. The cheese with a rind is local and delicious, though.
