Probably one of the best meals I ever had. Try the Puejo soup. It's worth it.

Great...Worth the stop.

Traditional Alentejo menu. We tried the veal which was excellent. As often the meat is accompanied by French fries only. No vegetables. We ordered a salad which was lettuce with a nice dressing but without tomatoes, onions etc. 'because there weren't any' as were told. No vinho da casa; there is however a limited choice of 0,5 liter bottles. Moderate prices. The extractor hood in the kitchen seems to be underpowered resulting in a very very smelly dining area. Large parking, more or less wheelchair friendly. There is a small ramp going up to the front door of the restaurant so it might be accessible for a wheelchair. Dining area not easily accessible though.

The perfect gastronomic experience some 20Km away from Évora, on a remote and cosy little restaurant in Azaruja.

Was closed upon arrival at 18:45, opening times are likely incorrect. Staff does not speak English, however the meat is excellent. We took Veal medallions and it was absolutely delicious. If you don't know Portuguese, ask for Medalhöa de Vitela.
