Little specialty coffee nest. Amazing sandwiches. ✨

We were there and beginning of visiting tropical garden. We took sweet potato soup and frozen yogurt with seasonal fruits. Both are really tasty. The price little high but it was in middle of one of biggest touristic attraction so not surprised ;)

I know it is a little complicated to enter this coffee shop, but it is totally worth it. Has the best coffee in Madeira. I didn’t find it overpriced as other reviewers said, it is a single origin coffee shop and the staff is more than nice and welcoming. Tip for the crazy ones, like me, than want to try and enter and don’t want to visit the garden: find them on Instagram and write them a message, they can put you on the list and you can enter. Or, they have another Coffee Shop close to the Teleferic, it is called Land and it has a great design, lovely coffee as well, and a nice view. It is a little down the stairs, on the right, ask about it at the Teleferic if you don’t see it.

[Edit] I contacted the roaster via Instagram and they replied apologising and said they’ve got an uphill battle with the botanic garden. They offered to put my name on the desk so I could get in but I had left Madeira. I hope they can resolve this issue [original review] You cannot visit the coffee roasters without paying $12.50 for a ticket to the gardens. I didn’t want to go in the gardens, I just wanted to get a coffee whilst on my bike. The woman on the gate of the botanic gardens was very rude to me and when I asked politely if I could ask a few Questions she picked up the phone and started wagging her finger at me. To which point I said you’re not being very friendly or helpful and she Just smiled and said I am not! In a time where tourism is scarce I’d have thought you’d want all the custom you can get. There was nobody else in the coffee shop. Seems bizarre to me that you won’t allow people to buy coffee and cake.
