TRYP Lisboa Caparica Mar Hotel

Great 4 star Hotel, very modern, rooms are great with great views, super comfy beds, staff by the pool bar were super friendly with a great sense of humour, the only sad and disappointing thing I have to say is about cleaning service, it was terribly poor, even when we requested the service when we came back to the room it hadn't been done 😢 and we would let reception know and still it wouldn't be done, and when it was, mirrors weren't clean, floor wasn't hoovered, there was sand from the beach and our hairs as we left it, and my daughters bed was never changed in 8 nights, one of my pillowcases had my mascara on it still. We know we went during covid time and we get that people may be struggling at the moment or be short of staff but especially during these difficult times cleaning service should have been up to standard more than ever. Apart from that, great location, great sea salt water 💧 pool.

This hotel is not worth its 4 stars under any circumstance: - The room: no warm water when we arrived. The balcony door couldn’t be locked. And it remained unfixed the entire stay in the hotel without offering us a new room. Unlike the room description on booking there was no furniture on the balcony. - The service: Overall the staff makes a frustrated and unmotivated impression, no signs of welcoming your guests, even a hello at the reception is rare. Furthermore the English skills of the staff was simply insufficient. They can’t even describe the type of meat which was served in the evening. - The food: breakfast was ok, but the dinner was not. The starter soup tasted mostly like nothing. Regarding the main dish, there was always just the option between meat or fish. No vegetarian alternative. And without exaggeration, it reminded me of the canteen food from university. I never experienced such bad food experience in a hotel. Every 3 star hotel has served better dishes in my experience. - The hotel: The entire facility is very aged and needs renovation pretty badly. - To sum it up, we would not recommend this hotel to anyone, unless the price is adjusted to the level of a 2 or 3 star hotel.

Great location, polite staff, but doesn’t seem to be a 4 star hotel

Fantastic Hotel and Location..Very Professional and Very Friendly Staff in every department. Hotel Management should feel Proud and Lucky.

Clean rooms, good restaurant. It is a safe place.
