Most beautiful part of Belem.

This plaza is very important for the Portuguese history. Most of the buildings of this plaza were built during Salazar's dictatorship. He was an economist and he ordered significant investments to boost the portuguese economy. During the night the lights and the water create a beautiful view.

Amazing place with great views

Nice garden with an impressive fountain, when it's in operation and lovely views of monastery one side and river the other. However I have no idea how often and for how long the fountain actually operates. Have seen it in it's full glory from the train and the bus but on every occasion I have been in the park it's not been on and is largely a giant duck pond.
