Belém

Although this is one of the most popular train station among tourists, it has fundamental flaws, such as it lacks on information regarding the direction written on the overpass and lack of information regarding the vendor machines. Given it's importance to tourism, it would deserve better information and equipments.

The pasteis de belém has great pastel de natas and coffee and the monuments are interesting. Great for a stop on your way through on the train.

I can only say that is for sure one of the most beautiful places of Lisbon. If you ever go to Lisbon and don't visit Belém you don't know what you are missing.

Interesting to see a fortress structure surrounded by water. It is even more amazing that they have the know-how to do this over 500 years ago!
