Regardless of whatever protocol, bank employees are supposed to follow, the lack of flexibility showcased here by César Oliveira, who not only ignored the circumstances that were detailed by the customers, in which he was informed of the poor quality of support provided by his own colleagues, which had misinformed regarding potential charges on a credit card that had never been activated, and instead proceeded to attribute guilt to the customers, and rudely concluding with "so what do you want to do?", accurately summarizes the overall experience with a bank that clearly has no interest in distancing itself from it's already fragile reputation, as far as banks go, in Portugal. I recommend you make sure you bring any breadcrumb related to any interaction you might have with Novo Banco's employees, to present as proof regarding just about anything, because if there's any option to do so, they will take as much as they can from you. Legally of course.
