The best cataplana in the region for a good and fair price. Ordered for 1x person but it's enough to share for two. Very very polite service

We have been visiting here for the last six years, this has fast become my favourite restaurant in Carvoeiro and that is with a lot of excellent competition! On this holiday, we visited twice and both occasions were outstanding. If you are a lover of Lamb, you must try the Lamb chops, delicious and a very good portion size for the price. The Entrecote was fantastic too, cooked med-rare perfectly as requested. For dessert I tried the chocolate brownie with toffee sauce and ice cream. Deeeeelicious! The waiting staff, luckily, have been the same over six years which is great as they are so polite, always smiling and just add to the great consistency that "the lantern" has kept going. May this beautiful place keep serving up some of the best for many holidays to come!

Best restaurant in Carvoeiro, best waiters, very friendly and very tasty food. The garlic bread and the cataplana is the most delicious.

Lanterna Velha is a great restaurant in the heart of Carvoeiro. It has a great staff who will welcome you to a table. You will have a good choice of food from a light bite to a blockbuster !! The dining rooms are spacious and well equipped .. We eat there most weeks an have always enjoyed the food.. Cony Rob and Farina will give you a great time. We may see you there. Saude .....
