The attention we had at the tourist office from the girl who was "selling" the tickets to see Sintra was disastrous. Apart from not even making the effort to help us know what to visit or not (that's what the information points are for), he was not even able to tell us on a map where to catch the buses. It was very unpleasant. The organization to visit Sintra is in complete chaos. I recommend that you go with your homework done and that you don't waste time at the Tourist Office. Bus drivers and volunteers on the street give much better service. I was about to make a claim for the treatment received. It is said by someone who has been a Tourist Informant for years.

Absolutely negative experience ... a rip off ... they took 5 euros and left me at the chalet under the mountain where the palacio de la pena is located ... in practice I had to stretch uphill to reach the Palacio. ..profiters !!
