Villa Verde

Booked a weekend in Portugal with friends as a birthday celebration for one of our group, we had plans of chilling around the pool having bbqs and enjoying the accommodation we had chosen. How wrong we were !!! We used this place to sleep only (and would have done that elsewhere out of choice !) we ate out for breakfast lunch and dinner as we couldn’t face the villa. The pool was full of green water with a film of filth on the surface and you couldn’t even see the bottom. About a third of the light bulbs worked (this was probably a good thing to be honest as the villa was a disgrace, at least we couldn’t see it clearly) If you have booked this villa I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

Our group of fifteen stayed at this villa from hell 17/10/2019, how we wish we had not been duped into staying there by the reviews which in hindsight cannot believe. To start with the good points which will not take long, there is hot water and the gardens are well tended and it is in a good location and that is your lot! And now for the bad and there is a lot 1/ You have exposed live mains wires in a bathroom 2/ Some of the fire extinguishers are showing as empty and last checked over a decade ago 3/ The BBQ is a health hazard not cleaned in ages and is covered in rotting meat and charcoal 4/ The water in the swimming pool has the consistency of slime and has a green glow that would not look out of place in Chernobyl 5/ The towels are damp and have a distinctly foisty smell and the bedding is just as bad some of our friends slept clothed it was that obnoxious 6/ The bathrooms are disgusting mould everywhere, very few of the faulty shower heads actually can be fitted to the wall as the brackets are broken or missing and broken baths are repaired with sealant and in one bathroom the sink was not fixed to the wall 7/ The "Irish Bar" is a dark dungeon with no working TV sports channels or WIFI, the advertised pictures look good the reality is a different matter 8/ Clothes were left from previous guest in drawers, did they leave in haste or an ambulance? 9/ The sun loungers are covered in mould completely wet through and need replacing 10/ Around the pool there are cracked tiles that are covered with carpet to hide the danger To summarize this villa is not fit for purpose the owner is not a person who should be allowed to operate this business and this listing needs removing immediately.

I would like to thank the 2 young ladies who looked after us when we arrived. It was not the correct Villa Verde that we booked but thanks to them we got to OUR Villa Verde. Thanks again.

Casa fantástica de nível superior, éramos seis adultos e sete crianças, todos a dormir confortavelmente, nada a apontar de negativo apenas aspectos positivos. Surpreendeu muito, se tivermos oportunidade certamente voltaremos.
