Núcleo Museológico Igreja S. Francisco

After renovation works in 2014-2015 the museum is now taking place above the Chapel of the Bones and features paintings from Francisco João and António de Oliveira Bernardes, also featuring sculptures from XVI and XVII and jewelry from the same time.

Very silent place.

Today we visited the museum following the church. The museum shows a large collection of nativity scenes from many countries. It's also fun with children. On the upper floor there is a view of Evora - nice but not overwhelming. Admission for adults is € 4 (2018) and children were free. Parking spaces are available in front of the museum or in the vicinity and are chargeable. Nice excursion destination also for hot summer days. Be sure to see the church next door.
