Competent until the pressure is to high.
Having regularly used their “shuttle service” to the various beaches around Fuseta, we continued to use their service. Unfortunately, one Tuesday in August as many clients were waiting for the shuttle to arrive the incompetency of the staff was revealed. At arrival we told that we would have to wait 15 to 20 minutes at one of the two piers they operate from and we accepted. In the following 30 minutes however they directed all the customers to the other pier from which at least 10 boats departed during our wait and so we went to ask if we should wait at the other pier as well. The ticket staff assured that we would be picked up “soon”. After some more wait we decided to ask for a refund and abandon our hope to ver be picked up. We were handed back our money with a dry “there you go” and no apology in sight. As we left we saw some of the boat staff having their lunch break and enjoying ourselves.
Furthermore, our visits preceding this one have proven as well that pickups between 6 and 7 pm are very badly managed forcing some beach visitors to queue for up to 30 minutes on the beach under the sun.
All in all the “shuttle service” works quite well while there are not to many clients but when competency and professionalism under high pressure is needed, it is nowhere to be found. You would probably be better off with a slightly more expensive Aqua taxi, which at least won’t let you wait in the burning sun.
As my first-hand experience with the company stops there I cannot speak of the quality of the offered tours, but was told by several friends that safety and professionalism were not guaranteed either with those services.
Very scenic fishing harbour with good watering holes.
We did two tours with these guys and really enjoyed both of them. The birdwatching tour and the Dolphin tour were both excellent, with knowledgeable hosts that knew their subject matter well. Highly recommended.
Dangerous dolphin tour that almost ended with the small boat to flip in the wavy ocean. We asked for a refund, but ended up with them saying that it isn’t their problem and that “it happens sometimes” with the boat flipping over. I would not recommend it and if you go anyway, don’t pay until afterwards so you are satisfied with their “service”
Full compliment of different excursions and adventures. Great way to explore the Ria Formosa.
