Cousy place, good food and cheap prices!

Food was really good, portions were huge. The waiter spoke little English, but enough to communicate

We had a nice lunch here, finding it as we were wandering. They offered a “Plate of the Day” of a choice of meat or fish (salmon steaks that day) accompanied by a salad and coffee for 10€. We opted to order off the menu. I had pork and clams in the Alentejo style (served in a pan with a broth of wine and red peppers (I think!) which was delicious, and my husband had the black pork cutlets with asparagus migas (a bread pudding of sorts,) a standard accompaniment in this area. We shared a jar of white sangria, which I would liken to Orange Crush. A bit too sweet, with a layer of sugar in the bottom of the pitcher and hard to notice the wine. I would try the red, next time. Yes, I would go back. Service was great, too.

Friendly place in a quaint alley within the ancient walls abundant portions low prices and a very friendly staff we were at dinner last night and we spent 28 euros in two with 2 main courses wine water and coffee to try!
