Authentic tavern in all respects. The tomato soup with egg is a must-have starter, best when shared to leave room for the fish or pork. Service was a one-man show when we were there, easy going and without any rush. Great place to relax at the end of a long day of walking around Evora.

This was a great find. It was recommended by our hotel as a more traditional tavern; we had the tomato soup (excellent) and black pork fillet (very good) which were both authentic local specialties. Very good value with large portion sizes, and very reasonably priced house wine (also excellent). Staff were excellent as well. We found it better, and it definitely felt more authentic, than our other choices in the primary tourist strip.

Just came across a picture of the meal I had here a few years back, it was phenomenal. Hope to go back some day!

Best typical tomato soup I had during my stay in Evora. It’s not a fancy place like most restaurants highly reviewed in the area. But has a more typical and rustic feel. It has a very Small menu that I believe guarantees the quality. Loved the place!
