Amazing place near odemira, best for hiking, nights out,natural swimming pool, and people can learn to walk in rocky places

Gorgeous place. A bit hard to get to by car (off-road segment at the end) and I advise people to walk the last bit of the way. Especially since it's a one car width path most of the way which makes two cars crossing at the same time impossible.

Great place to chill and swim. The walk from the bridge is about 2.5km from the pond and it is quite tough. You can take the car to the pond but the road is very bumpy so be cautious.

Stunningly beautiful ancient rocks, packed with quartz and other minerals surround a deep, fast-moving river, with naturally forming pools where you can swim safely. You can see lots of frogs, fish and dragonflies but their numbers are not overwhelming. Lovely place to go for a picnic, a stroll with decent (but not too steep) climbs, or you can take a longer hike up to trails in the hills. There is plenty of shade from olive trees and cork oaks but it's also very warm and sunny is some areas because the canyon is not so high as to block it out. I cycled here though very pretty meadow land which covers the surrounding area and is also nice for walking. I would recommend this place to everyone, though only some areas are wheelchair accessible.
