Madeira Botanical Garden

Loved view and landscape. The cactus area is wonderful as it is beautiful all the rest of the visit. Ticket entrance is not too expensive. Just avoid the only bar inside as not organised and the hospitality received was not the best

Pretty underwhelming in comparison with the beautiful tropical garden at Monte Palace

Just do something else instead... The entrance price of 6 Euro is not justified by all the blocked off areas, some others are either currently under maintenance or hopefully waiting for it... The view also doesnt do the ticket price, just go hiking somewhere for free and enjoy the nature there. With hopefully nicer employees... 2 stars for the little plants who looked nice, and the good weather that day

Brilliant and enormous botanical garden with a huge array of different types of tropical plants. To see it all you need to set aside at least 2 preferably 3 hours. You can drive there, super steep streets, or take a funicular.

Aent in November 2020 via cable car, it was very quiet. Beautiful plants. Especially the cactus. Had a coffee at the cafe. Be aware that they only take cash and charge 15 pounds if you want to pay by card. Beautiful views over the bay though.
