Monte Palace Madeira

It's like a King's garden. Different trees, amazing fountains and waterfalls, humid air, blossoming orchids. Strongly recommend. Also the museum is very nice there. On the upper floors there is an exhibition of contemporary African art and on the ground floor there is a collection of minerals. Very beautiful place!

We travelled up on the cable car which gives amazing views over the island, the gardens are tranquil and beautiful and well worth a visit although as in the rest of the island there are a lot of steps and slopes to negotiate. Unfortunately during our visit the palace was closed due to covid restrictions. You could easily spend the day lost in these amazing surroundings.

Pretty cool place, interesting things to see, beautiful flowers, but not as big a range of flowers I was expecting to see.

The most beautiful garden on the island. Lots of small nooks to discover. This is a place to come cool off from the heat of the summer, breath deep and relax. There's a really cool geodes museum and several intricate levadas running throughout the park.

Absolutely 100% loved it! It's just amazing! Gorgeous park that words are unable to describe ). Pictures from the place might not be able to communicate how good it is. It's totally worth the visit (and the price).
