Amazing walk, a bit dangerous in rainy weather due to slippery terrain. Highly recommended.

Find BEGINNING: Since nobody does it and there is no information about it on the Internet: You can park at the marked point or continue uphill for about 500 meters until the road ends, then you save a bit of walking. Follow the hiking sign PR2 towards Curral das Freiras. Then you have to walk a very steep ascent through stone steps through the forest for about 15 minutes (roughly 150-200 meters in altitude). Slippery when it rains. At some point you hit the levada, you can't miss it. On the right you go to the source (about 1-2 hours there and back together), on the left you can walk for hours, this is one of the longest levadas there is. To the levada itself: Really very nice levada. A very special adventure in rain and fog, even if it is not accessible to the end because of a river crossing (river swells). I've already seen many levadas, luckily this one is not in any hiking guide ;-) so it is very quiet.

Very beautiful levada, one of the best! There are a huge number of waterfalls, many beautiful and rare plants, unforgettable smells. True, there are no signs and it is not clear where the beginning and where is the end, the levada is very long and you can go through a tunnel of 500 meters and go to another city, but it is very exciting and interesting, you can swim along the road, see magnificent views and return through the village
