Fort of Santo António de Belixe

It was a fabulous place, and an wonderful restaurant! But last time I saw, in 2009, it was abandoned, and sacked, as the cliffs supporting the East wall were collapsing! I sincerely hope they can recover it! An unique, historical place! Did Scuba Diving on the West side bay, it was fabulous too!

Unfortunately the fort is closed right now due to Covid. You can still go there for some nice views and hiking trails.

The view is ok, but the fortress does not look very special.

For me this has been a magical place, went back twice to just feel the energy there. Could not go into the fort (covid?) but one can get to the other side of the walls and there is a path all the way down to the rocks above the water. The color of the water is amazing and it is definitely worth a stop to or from Cabo São Vicente!

Nice view from the front, no need to go inside. Go to the Cabo sao Vincente instead, way cooler
