Friendly staff, tasty food, balanced price-quality relationship. Enjoyed very much the "plumas de porco preto", because they were well cooked and tender. I liked the cheese served as entrance and I recommend the house red wine. The wine is a regional wine from Borba, as a little punch but goes well with the cheese.

Tipical restaurant with Nice terrace in a little street of the fabulous city of King's, Viçosa. If you want to eat the real porco preto(black pig) from Portugal this is the place, in Safari they know how to prepare it. Also Tipical desserts from the region, don't forget to trie them!

Very good overall. Service wad great and table reserved as requested. Food was.excellent quality only negative was my meat ( plumas) was a little bit too salty

After not being able to get into our resteraunt of choice for the evening, we landed at the Safari. Service was a bit confused to begin with because we speak only English, and our server was not fluent. But then we ordered the food and saw the vast local wine list. Ordered a great local Reserva, the black pork steak, along with the cod, shrimp and spinach casserole. The wine was great, both meals spectacular, and it has been our best dinner to date on our Euro vacation. Sometimes, bad luck turns into good luck quickly.
