The date of 1536 contained in one of the side doors would date the construction of the current temple, which was later renovated. Its very modest and even unattractive exterior contrasts with the interior, completely renovated in the XVIII. If the pulpit is Renaissance, from the XVI, the great baroque golden altarpieces are eighteenth-century, as are the white and blue tiles that decorate the walls, coming from Coimbra. The chapel was the only church of Buarcos until in 1581 the church of San Pedro was built, then born as a parish. Thus, it is possible that the chapel is before 1536, this being the date of a complete renovation.

Totally abandoned, if you visit the walls you will pass by it but it may go unnoticed.
