Ok ... let's start with the good. The hotel entrance, rooms & restaurant look good. The rooms were very clean. The bad ..... the bathroom needed a new shower head, it was so small it was like being hosed down instead of showering. The reception staff at times were quite curt, and there was not enough staff on to be able to get a glass of wine at the bar after 7.30pm !!!! .... explanation given ....because the restaurant was open and therefore no one was avaiable to serve me. This told to me by a member of staff at reception (with no customers at reception) which by the way is a right next to the bar & only 4 customers, with 2 staff members in the restaurant, which again, is right next to the bar. I will truly never forget my time at this hotel, but not for the right reasons.

Old-School Hotel where most costumers are Pensionists or Families that go to Gerês for Some Spa sessions and treatments. Not a bad thing, but if it is not the crowd you're looking for then look somewhere else. Breakfast was diverse and full of options, if you are making a reservation, consider booking with Breakfast included. The bedroom was clean and neat, great conditions and good noise isolation. No downsides.

Lacked a spirit of hospitality! Evening meal service particularly poor. Appreciate we were in Portugal but bold notices in the elevator should at least also have been in English. Beautiful hotel, comfortable, clean room.

A good hotel with kind staff. I didn't like the king size bed, though. Is was two beds and two duvets near one another, making it very heavy and uncomfortable in the middle. The breakfast is five stars!
